I started working at Adria Solutions in February 2023, having never worked in recruitment before. I’d previously worked in sales but was drawn to IT recruitment because I liked the idea of working within a small team toward the same target. I also enjoy talking on the phone to candidates and feeling like I’m providing a service. 

The most valuable thing I’ve learnt during my time here so far is resilience and confidence, both on the phone and in person. 

The best advice I could give someone who wants to work in recruitment is to be patient when learning, as there is a lot of information to take in. Don’t be afraid to ask questions and pick up the phone to candidates. Putting what you learn into practice is the best way to learn.

What I like most about working here is that the team is very supportive. Everyone helps out when needed, and we all work towards the same collective of growing the business. The thing that keeps me going on a difficult day is the career possibilities inside recruitment. One phone call can change the whole mood of the day from bad to good.

My long-term ambition is to be successful in recruitment and hopefully work towards building my own client base within the company. 

The top thing on my bucket list is to go on a European tour, and the skill I’d most like to learn is watchmaking.
