Service Desk Manager – South Manchester – £45K

Our client based in South Manchester is currently looking for a skilled Service Desk Manager. The Technical Service Desk Manager will be from a technical support background with strong and recent experience of managing a Service Desk team, focusing on customer experience and quality.

You possess excellent problem solving abilities, have a technically savvy approach, with exceptional interpersonal and leadership skills. You are bright and sociable and are willing to always go that extra mile to help customers (and colleagues) out with any problem. You’re a team player with superb attention to detail and someone who enjoys solving problems. You thrive in a collaborative, busy, supportive environment.

The Role
As a Technical Service Desk Manager, you are responsible for the daily operations, management and support provided by the Service Desk, ensuring a high quality of Customer Experience at all times. You will ensure the creation of delivery of weekly/monthly performance reporting as well as analysis and trending of data. You will have overall responsibly for the team and team outputs and act as an escalation point where difficult or controversial calls are dealt with. The workflow is fast-paced and requires the ability to adapt to different challenges and priorities. The ability to learn and self-motivation is key for this role. You will have a role assisting analysts in providing first and second line support when workloads are high, or where additional experience is required.
