Business Analyst, Product – Cheshire East – up to £55,000

Our client based near Crewe, Cheshire is currently looking for a number of Business Analyst with Product experience.

The business analyst engages with business unit managers and subject matter experts (SMEs) to engineer and re-engineer business processes to increase efficiencies or introduce enhancements within our software platforms. Whilst this role is within the Product Management function, it generally leans more towards the Development function due to its association with Technology based improvement projects.

Key Responsibilities
● Determine operational objectives by studying business functions; gathering information;
valuating output requirements and formats
● Work closely with project stakeholders to construct workflow charts and wireframe diagrams; studying system capabilities; writing specifications (FDR/BRD)
● Assist the product manager prioritize requirements into deliverable functionality
● Asses Cost/ Benefits and business case aspects of product improvements using measurements created to enable data drive decisions
● Understand and communicate the financial and operational impact of any changes
● Improve systems by studying current practices; designing modifications
● Recommend controls by identifying problems; writing improved procedures
● Define project requirements by identifying project milestones, phases and elements
● Prepare technical reports by collecting, analysing and summarizing information and trends
● Work with internal continuous improvement teams or initiatives to ensure synchronicity with

Skills Required as a Business Analyst, Product:
● Experience with business process engineering / re-engineering
● Experience with enterprise software platforms and IT development teams
● Understanding/experience of networks, databases, servers, etc.
● Experience in creating process maps – Knowledge of using Visio/Lucidchart or other process mapping/modelling tools
● Wireframing experience with Mock-up software (Balsamiq, Adobe Xd, UXpin, etc.)
● Strong analytical, decision making, and organizational skills
● Strong verbal and written communication skills
● Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with minimal direction
● Ability to be a self-starter and thrive in a fast-paced environment
● Strong Microsoft Office skills.
● Project leadership experience
● ITIL certification is a plus
● Experience within Agile development process
