3rd Line Support Engineer – Preston – £35K.

Our client based near Preston is currently looking for a skilled 3rd Line Support Engineer. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years’ experience in a technical IT support role, ideally with a Managed Service provider.
You will be part of an Engineering dealing with a wide variety of technologies such as Microsoft Hyper-V, ESXi, WANs, LANs, Azure, Office 365, Disaster Recovery Solutions and IT Security.
You will be providing 3rd Line Support & mentoring more junior team members. Our client’s core business is providing a very high standard of Managed IT Support. You’ll be a major part of the team solving 3rd line support requests escalated from our 1st and 2nd line teams.

Essential Technical Attributes
Must be able to:
* Solve most Windows-based Workstation/Server issues independently
* Configure/install/ troubleshoot Hyper-V, ESXi and have a good grasp of virtualisation technologies
* Strong scripting experience with PowerShell
* Experienced with Server installations
* Install/configure and diagnose complex network infrastructure
* Demonstrate good Internet/WAN diagnostic skills
