3rd Line Support Engineer – Stockport.

Our client based in Stockport, Cheshire is currently looking for a skilled 3rd Line Support Engineer.
The 3rd line Engineer is responsible for all technical and administrative aspects of our client’s infrastructure. You will provide third line technical support, technical management for projects as well as BAU escalation for issues that the service desk has been unable to resolve. We are particularly interested to hear from those with experience in the following areas: Office365 and Windows 10 rollouts, Active Directory projects, Linux, AWS and/or project management qualifications.

You will be involved in the design, implementation, delivery, and maintenance of infrastructure strategy and model to improve systems availability, performance, incident frequency and reduce cost

Skills:

– Strong understanding in data centre technologies including SAN, VMware virtualisation, servers, private and public cloud, and networks
– Excellent working knowledge and experience of systems technologies and platforms currently deployed including Wintel, VMware, (Cisco) network, storage (NAS / SAN), backups (Veeam), PowerShell, IIS, Exchange, Windows 2016/2012/2008, RedHat and Ubuntu Linux
– Excellent written and verbal communication skills

The following skills will be desirable:

– MCITP or equivalent qualifications
– Experience of proactively identifying and implementing performance improvements
* Apple IOS/Mac OS
* Project management qualification/experience
* Experience of Linux systems (Various including, RedHat & Ubuntu)
* AWS/Azure
* Office365
* Active Directory management
