Web Designer / User Interface - HTML, CSS, Photoshop, JavaScript. Our client based in Chesterfield is currently looking for a skilled Web Designer with User Interface experience. Essential is an excellent creative flare and eye for detail, with demonstrable skills in website layout, design and usability.
Minimum skills are:
- HTML
- CSS
- Photoshop
- Layout design and overall web design knowledge
- Knowledge of GWT and/or JavaScript would be a benefit.
- Initially, the role will involve designing the user interfaces (UI’s) for the company’s software products (which are developed exclusively in Java).
In addition to UI design, the role will expand to:
- Designing/implementing the company’s web site.
- Designing/producing marketing materials.
- UI design consultancy.
In other words, there is scope to develop the role into both marketing as well as web design.
This is a new position and the successful candidate will begin with a “blank sheet of paper” – to the extent that they will be able to specify all of the hardware/software tools which they require to do the job.
