Tester / Test Analyst - Manchester. Our growing client based in Manchester is currently looking for a Quality Assurance Tester. You will be performing manual and automated functional testing of complex systems written in various technologies such as:
• C# .net applications utilizing forms, web services and remoting applications.
• VB 6 applications.
• Web based technologies such as ASP and ASP.Net.
• Office applications developed in Microsoft Access, Word and Excel.

 

You will effectively track various test based metrics that are ultimately communicated to the development team and business managers. You will also produce well written and clear Test Plans and Test Cases in addition to other written documentation required performing the various tasks at hand.


Essential Experience Required:
• This opportunity requires an individual who can work on their own initiative as well as team based.
• Must possess strong written and verbal skills.
• Must possess strong skills working with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Previous IT experience or IT based degree required.
• TestDirector or other automated testing experience/knowledge preferred.
• Commercial experience of testing in a software development environment possibly from a placement year, any qualifications such as ISEB would be considered an advantage.
