Senior Network Administrator – Manchester. Our client based in Manchester is seeking to recruit a highly skilled Senior Network Systems Administrator. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a Team of System Administrators in the maintenance, support and development of our systems and networks.
You will be responsible for the following daily duties:
a) The role is responsible for the day to day management of all systems and the resolution of 2nd and 3rd line support calls.
b) They will be responsible to ensure that the IT infrastructure can comfortably meet future expansion and technology requirements.
c) They will be responsible for defining and implementing the company’s security policies.
d) Provided leadership and management to other System Administrators including the setting of daily priorities and resource allocation and acting as a technical mentor to the other System Administrators.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
a) You are likely to have 10 years networking experience that includes extensive experience within a Microsoft and Cisco environment.
b) In-depth knowledge of the configuration of all models of Cisco Firewalls and Routers.
c) Used to having responsibility for all aspects of the System Network Architecture.
d) Experienced with most of the following: Microsoft Windows Server Operating Systems, Microsoft Exchange 2003, Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft ISA Servers, SAN Technologies (especially Equal logic), VMware ESX, ESXi software, Cisco switches, routers and firewalls, TCP/IP, iSCSI, DHCP, DNS and Microsoft Domain Controllers, Citrix XenApp,
DESIRABLE SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
a) The following skills would be an advantage but our not essential: Linux, Citrix Secure Gateway, Symantec Backup Exec., Network monitoring tools (i.e. Nagios), Sybase & Composer.
