Proven success in developing and implementing a corporate approach to the storage, control and compliance requirements of the corporate body of Information and records
Understanding of the legal implications of the Freedom of Information Act and Data Protection Act as well as other associated legislation
Knowledge and understanding of the SQL server architecture, administration and security
Understanding of the legal implications of the Freedom of Information Act and Data Protection Act as well as other associated legislation
Experience of devising Business Cases for the management of information systems
Experience of audit and review in an information management environment
Knowledge and experience of relational database management systems
The ability to produce effective reports and advise on organisational objectives
The ability to produce information and guidance that is easily understood and to support appropriate training and development programmes
Advanced skills and knowledge of the Microsoft Office package (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Database: must have good background in MS SQL Server 2005 [SQL administration and querying, using T-SQL and stored procedures]
- Visual Basic experience: should be able to programme in VB
- ASP: should be able to write Active Server Pages.
- Data awareness: must be capable of assessing anomalies in data feeds and rectifying them.
