SQL Data / Database Architect - Greater Manchester - £60-70K. Our growing client based near Manchester (Manchester / Cheshire border) is currently looking for an experienced Database Architect responsible for providing key data design and process expertise, working with Data Analysts to design, develop and implement data and reporting processes. The team is charged with exciting challenges to implement real-time transactional data feeds and the Data Architect will play a pivotal role.
You will provide technical expertise in the areas of data schema design, data process design, and reporting. Work with the business customers to understand business issues and propose solutions. Take ownership to ensure that all problems are resolved in a timely and efficient manner. Pro-actively identify data issues and propose, develop and implement appropriate solutions. Mentor junior members of staff in terms of technical solutions and support.
Essential Technical Skills
• Strong SQL skills
• Development experience in Data schema design and reporting
• Design, development, implementation and use of at least 1 EAI solution
• Experience with the design, implementation and use of reporting frameworks
• Strong analytical skills
• Both Linux and Windows Shell scripting experience
• Experience of designing for, and implementation of, new technology solutions
• Ability to research and identify new and appropriate technology.
