Project Manager / Software Development / Prince 2 – Manchester .NET (VB.NET or C#), SQL SERVER. Our highly successful client based in Manchester is currently looking for a skilled Project Manager (ideally with a software development background) to work on numerous projects coming up in 2012.
Job Purpose:
The primary role is to plan, execute, and finalise projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. This includes acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of Internal Divisional and Departmental stakeholders with IT team members in order to deliver projects according to plan. The Project Manager will also define the project’s objectives and oversee quality control throughout its life cycle.
Skills Required:
• Direct work experience in a project management capacity, including all aspects of process development and execution.
• Certifications in PRINCE 2 is highly desirable
• Strong familiarity with project management software, such as MS Project and MS Visio
• Familiar with programming languages, including .NET (C# or VB.NET)
• Database and operating systems experience i.e. SQL Server
• Competent and proficient understanding of PM methodologies, such as AGILE, Scrum etc
Experience
*Demonstrated experience in personnel management/supervisory.
•Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential.
