C# Software Developer X 3 – Manchester- £30-40K + Benefits. Our client based in Manchester City Centre is currently looking for 3 skilled C# Developers. You will be part of a small team of developers working on the company’s website and related systems. The technical environment is Microsoft centric (C#, .Net 3.5, Visual Studio 2010, SQL Server 2008). The technical environment for legacy system is VB6 and SQL Server.
Key responsibilities
• Developing C# code and related SQL Server stored procedures
• Work to our expected level of quality using suitable tools and testing frameworks e.g. nHibernate, nUnit.
• Input into development process and relevant tools e.g. continuous integration, version control, deployment process, unit testing, peer reviewing.
• Provide support only to VB6 legacy system.
Personal skills & attributes:
• Must have relevant experience as a developer of Microsoft tooled websites.
• Strong problem solving and team working skills.
• Experience of one or more of the following would be beneficial:
o MVC / Web Services a bonus
o Continuous integration.
o ORM frameworks e.g. Entity framework, nHibernate, LightSpeed.
o Mongo Db.
• Must be flexible and adaptable; able to switch easily from one task to another with the ability to multi-task and to prioritize their work.
• Must show willingness to adapt to change and to learn new skill sets as required.
• Must communicate well with team, users and other departments.
• Comfortable working in a fast paced environment.
