Business / Data Analyst – Warrington, Cheshire – Circa £25-30K. Our client based in Cheshire is currently looking for a high calibre individual who wants to apply their passion for mathematics and statistics in the role of a Business Analyst in a high growth industry. If you are a confident communicator, hold a degree in a maths or statistics discipline, love problem solving and enjoy analysing data using statistical methods, this job is for you. Located in Warrington, our client is one of the leading data marketing and analytics companies in the UK. They provide data management and business insight services too many of the UK’s largest companies. Applicants must be UK residents or hold a valid UK work permit. Salary up to £28K dependent on previous experience (minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role).
 

Reporting to the Business Insight Manager, your main role will be to undertake data analysis, statistical modelling and production of reports for clients from a wide variety of business sectors. You will be office based, however you may be required to visit clients to undertake analysis, training or support. Your duties will include;
•Utilising marketing systems such as FastStats for statistical analysis and reporting
•The development and implementation of statistical models
•Development of bespoke management and marketing reports based on client requirements
•Providing statistical analysis training and user support for marketing databases managed by our client.
•Interpreting and presenting results to clients
•Helping clients to manage their marketing activity more effectively

Professional Requirements
•Must be UK resident or have UK work permit
•Educated to a high Degree standard in a statistics/mathematics discipline
•Must have a good working knowledge of at least one statistical program such as SAS, SPSS, Minitab, FastStats or SmartFocus
•Use of statistical programs forecasting, descriptive or predictive modelling: methods include Chaid/decision tree, cluster analysis, regression modelling
•Good knowledge of Microsoft products, especially Excel
•Confident communicator
