ASP.NET Support Developer – Macclesfield, Cheshire. Our client, a successful software/web company based in Macclesfield, Cheshire is currently looking to recruit a dedicated support developer to join their development team.

 

Responsibilities:
The vacancy offers the post holder the opportunity to join a successful team to work on practical applications of leading edge technology within the context of web development.


We are seeking an individual capable of maintaining, supporting and extending existing clients' websites and software systems. The successful candidate will also have the opportunity to be involved in new development work.

 

Person Specification:
Essential Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
 Must have a proven track record of working within a Web design environment
 Must be degree calibre in Computer Science or a similar discipline
 In depth experience of HTML, DHTML, XML, ASP.NET, C#, and JavaScript
 Working knowledge of Microsoft SQLServer, T-SQL, Microsoft Visual Studio, SourceSafe
 Ability to work flexibly in a multi-disciplinary team in which roles may evolve, tasks may change and customer requirements are not always well specified
 Good communication and presentation skills; including the ability to relate in depth technical details to both a technical and non technical audience.

 

Desired Skills & Experience:

Responsibilities of the role will include using the following core technologies to support, maintain and upgrade web sites using the following skills:
•HTML /XML
•ASP.NET /C#
•Microsoft SQL Server

Experience:

 

The candidate should be degree qualified (or equivalent) and must have at least 2 years experience of building retail and database-driven websites and web services with the above technologies.

 

The candidate should have working knowledge of content management systems, their design and application.

 

The candidate should also have proven experience of working directly with clients.
