3rd Line Support Analsyt X 2 - Manchester. (Exchange, Group Policy, Windows, Avaya, VMware). Our growing client based in Manchester is currently looking for a number of skilled 3rd Line Support Analyst. Your core duties will be to maintain and improve all aspects of the IT infrastructure.


Main Duties and Responsibilities

1. Maintain and monitor the security and integrity of all systems and the data contained therein.
2. Maintain and improve existing hardware to ensure maximum availability.
3. Analyse recurring faults and implement root cause fixes.
4. Act as an escalation point for 1st/2nd line helpdesk teams.
5. Provide support for, and work in conjunction with, the IT Project team.
6. Install and configure new hardware and software in line with defined procedures.
7. Maintain & update documentation and technical knowledge base for IT Operations team.
8. Undertake general problem solving.
9. Undertake any other duties that reasonably fall within the scope of this job.

 

Essential Criteria

1. Self motivated, professional and career-minded individual.
2. Previous experience of supporting IT software/hardware.
3. Proven experience in implementing systems and policies.
4. Ability to demonstrate commercial awareness.
5. Good verbal and written communication skills at all levels.
6. Ability to establish effective working relations with immediate staff and other staff in the business.
7. Ability to work to own initiative.
8. Ability to write and maintain clear and concise documentation for all systems and procedures.
9. Ability to multitask and manage own workload.
10. Proven experience of working under pressure to tight deadlines
11. Willingness to support colleagues, and an appreciation of working as part of a team.

• Customer service experience
• Hardware & peripheral troubleshooting
• Group Policy
• Windows XP/2003/2008 Support
• Exchange 2003 (Exchange 2008 desirable)
• Active Directory
• Security experience
• Backup technologies (eg. Backup Exec)

 

Desirable Skills:

 

• Blackberry & mobile phone troubleshooting
• Storage technologies (eg. SAN)
• IIS Configuration & troubleshooting
• Avaya ACM4
• VM Ware technologies
• Cisco experience
• ITIL Foundation V3
