2nd Line Support Technician, Manchester - Our client based in Manchester is currently looking for an 2nd Line Support Technician to support and maintain all aspects of the computer and telephone systems. The essential skills for this position is Avaya ACM or CCNA experience and good IT Security knowledge.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- To effectively support and advise staff in the use of installed hardware and software applications.
- To maintain and improve existing hardware to ensure maximum availability.
- To install and configure new hardware and software in line with defined procedures.
- Undertake general problem solving.
- Maintain and update user accounts, group membership and security permissions across all systems.
- Maintain and monitor the security and integrity of all systems and the data contained therein.
- Undertake any other duties that reasonably fall within the scope of this job.
You will have all / some of the following Skills:
- Avaya ACM or CCNA
- ITIL Foundation V2/V3 (Preferred)
- Windows XP/2003/2008
- Exchange 2003
- Active Directory/Group Policy
- VM Ware technologies
